Welcome to Beverly Hills Middle School!

The Beverly Hills Middle School’s mission is to educate the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally by providing for individual differences and inculcating within the child the highest educational standards possible. At Beverly Hills Middle School, we are proud of our commitments to involve community and home with school and to aid each individual student to obtain personal success.

Beverly Hills Middle School opened its doors as a state of the art junior high school in 1930. To accommodate the growing population, an additional 12 classrooms and a library were added in January of 2000. A beautiful three story Georgian building with large columns and a grand cupola, Beverly Hills currently houses over 1400 students in grades six, seven, and eight. Ninety-eight percent of our students walk to our neighborhood school, which serves a diverse population of students from 67 different countries. The community often uses our building on nights and weekends for a variety of events and activities.

Beverly Hills offers a strong academic program that is continually upgraded and revised to meet the current diverse needs of our students. Our curricular offerings include foreign language programs in French, German, and Spanish. In addition to our challenging core of academics, students are engaged in related unified arts classes that promote both life skills and critical thinking skills. Students complete three years of computer technology learning applications ranging from word processing to multi-media presentations. Students are also being introduced to Distance Learning with other schools through the use of technology. Our professional staff includes a full and a part-time nurse, two school psychologists, a full-time social worker, and five full-time teachers to meet the needs of our English Language Learners (ELL). Our extra-curricular program boasts a full interscholastic sports program, open to both boys and girls, as well as an intramural sports program. Our academic extra-curricular offerings include an Oratorical Contest, Young Authors competitions, an Environmental Club, and open library and computer time. Beverly Hills’ music programs, both instrumental and vocal, are large, active, and successful, performing at many events and parades.

Beverly Hills has an active Home and School Association that supports our academic program and offers activities and events to strengthen our school community.
